my dad bought a sig after wanting one for a long time, finally he was able to afford to purchase one, dad ownes and shoots over 25 different caliber rifles and semiautomatic pistols, the sig was his dream, well after 40 years of handloading for all his firearms, he managed to fire 200 rounds before the sig blew up in his hand, he sent it back to sig, and they said the malfunction was due to neglect, what a bunch of crap that was, and would not stand behind any warranty. dad was so maticulous about the cleaning of all his firearms.dad even questioned the rest of the shells he had reloaded for that sig and pulled all 250 rounds apart to recheck the powder charges and all were perfect. we are so upset over sig's not willing to help us in any way and this is our way to vent our frustration, we are not upset with the product, but with the sigarms corporation for them not taking into consideration that the firearm may actually may have been at fault, no testing of the metal for the frame was done, just shipped back to us
