U-trip has gone to a 40/325 ball and having hit the ball their really does not appear to be much drop off in performance. ASA would be wise to leave the bats at 98 and just drop the ball to 40/325. BUT, I do believe ASA is trying to shed itself of men's slowpitch softball entirely, or it would appear that is the direction the changes are driving players to seek other associations. ASA will be known only for recreation league play if this keeps up, and maybe that is what they want. You will know shortly after the meetings are over where they want to head.
