It's called an investigation, there are steps that have to be taken. Cloud filed charges on the Monday after it happened and it was out of his hands from there. As for hitting the middle Hit it is right you have said your team will hit at him so if you do happen to hit him which I don't see happening, and you hurt him not only can you be charged with assault, but once your bat is tested and it is verified that it is altered then you will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. If you never said your team would hit at him and just did it they couldn't prove a thing but you have opened that can of worms and your stuck with it so good luck on that.
