I was simultaneously working my way through the UofH system and out of my first marriage. Too bad I only succeeded at one of those. I see there's going to be a little reunion soon. I don't think I'll be in the neighborhood for it, but hoist a cold one (or two) for me.

Oh yeah, Phil, it's all that and a bag of camel chips. I'm starting my new position as Power Generator Foreman stationed at the Kandahar Air Field in southern Afghanistan. It's hot, dry, dusty and windy, but at least it smells like raw sewage. It just doesn't get any better than this. Of course there's the occasional rocket or mortar that comes flying in from the mountains, but they hardly ever hit anything important. Actually it's not a bad gig and the money's pretty good, too.
