Actually it was EM2 Bob Patton climbed into the hole to make sure the electricity was off and he, ET3 BURNS and EM2 DUNNOW carried TONG out of the manhole. MM1 BARNETT applied mouth to mouth and HM1 FRIEDLEY applied heart massage. When the ambulance arrived TONG was conscious, went to the dispensary and only had a burn on his right hand, treated and went home. They received the Navy Commendation Medal for their heroic efforts.
