I left the Seadragon in late 70 but Gary worked for me and he was a good sailor. He marched to a little different beat but I always thought he was a good shipmate. When we were in the yards in Pearl for extra money he used to take his paints and go to the local drag races and decorate cars for extra cash. When I made WO1 he drew a cartoon of characature of myself and the Torp gang. It was very well done, and I was going to keep it and get it framed but lost it when I got transferred. I still have an acrilic model he made of the boat. I have often thought about him and would also be interested in finding out what happend to him.
