The Sea Dragon was indeed in Sasebo in mid to late 1964. I know because as a CT M-brancher I was part of a small team that flew down from Kami Seya to install equipment aboard the boat for a SPEC-OP. It was funny because as I recall they pretended to be a diesel boat! They supposedly came in under "electric power", i.e., no smoke!
