The thing that stands out in my mind is that the forestay chainplate in a number of these boats was on the inside end of the bow eye and fastened with a GALVANIZED nut. Needless to say, they would let go at the wrong time. To check it you must cut an inspection hole at the front of the cabin, just behind the bow eye. Gee, look at the money THEY saved. Good luck.
