I've googled info on it and would like find out more. Does anyone know about these boats. One post states they are a wet boat. But there is also a story of a Neptune 16 to Hawaii that has been deleted because of how long ago it was posted. Any info would be of great help. Thanks.

The thing that stands out in my mind is that the forestay chainplate in a number of these boats was on the inside end of the bow eye and fastened with a GALVANIZED nut. Needless to say, they would let go at the wrong time. To check it you must cut an inspection hole at the front of the cabin, just behind the bow eye. Gee, look at the money THEY saved. Good luck.

SCA ran a road test on the Newport, Neptune 16 not too long ago, maybe a copy of the issue is still available.

I bought a Neptune 16 a few months ago, neeeded lotsa work..paid little for it. An online copy of the original brochure is available. Also the SCA boat review is good.
