I've sailed 'big' boats since I was a kid (well, up to 28') but I've recently gotten interested in small, shoal-draft cruisers. My wife and I plan to take a slow, 6-month cruise down the east coast of the US and we'd like to build the boat we sail.
Our top pick at the moment is the Atkin "Shore Liner", or possibly the "Great Bear", to give you an idea of our taste. I'm currently building the Atkin "Cabin Boy", which will serve as the tender.
Would love to consider other options, though.
Oh, and it should row reasonably well, since we won't have an engine (I was Helena's rowing coach, so we both like to row).
Any suggestions, much appreciated.
