Somewhat along your thinking, I have wondered how Matt Layden's chine runners would work on Reuel Parker's evocation of Munroe's "Egret" sharpie...if they would do the job, eliminating the centerboard (or significantly reducing it in height) would make the cabin so much more enjoyable. I like Ted Brewer's idea for outside "ballast bars"ed with his 32 ft. "Mystic" sharpie also. Anyone have any good suggestions?
