Yep, good question. In my search as a very novice sailor for a craft suitable for hereabouts, I have looked at that design and wondered why not? From looking at Cragslist sailboat ads until my eyes can't focus, I offer two hypotheses: 1) too slow, clunky and uncool looking for west coast sailing market despite their inherent advantages (for comparison see Cal, San Juan, Catalina et al. designs over the last three decades); 2) knowledge diffusion, aka "it ain't invented here" syndrome. Thats the social side. Any thoughts from the tech side? Best, Ole
