My grandpa grew up spending his summers on Tupper Lake in the Adirondacks in a guideboat and talked about them ever since he moved out west. He was working on building one when I was a kid but his place burned down. He rebuilt and made another run at building the boat but he only got as far as getting the wood and building the forms before his body just couldn't keep up with his active mind. He passed away a year ago now, but we still have the forms and his notes and magazines and pictures and lots of good memories of his stories of probably his most favorite parts of his youth, spent out on the lake in the boat. I hope to someday put those forms to use. I wish you many years of pleasure with your new boat!
