Thanks for asking! The weekend was a big success!We had 21 boats show up! A big increase from last year's 15 that actually made the trip. Great crowd! Friday we had great breezes while everyone was showing up. The early birds got in some great sailing. Friday night dinner was a blast meeting everyone and getting acquainted! Sat started slow for the first couple of miles but the motors were shut down in short order for a nice gentle downwind run all the way down the lake. Sat night dinner was also the awards presentation and no-one went away empty handed! Sunday we had to work our way into light headwinds tacking almost all the way home before they finally died and we motored the last couple of miles. Overall I think all will agree that we had a great time. Seeing over 20 sets of sails drawing at the same time was so cool! Big thanks goes out to our sponsors and of course SCA was one of them. Josh and crew made numerous crews happy with some free subscriptions, copies of the magazine, and even an "Essentials Spice Kit" to keep aboard for those meals cooked in the galley!!! Sorry for the delay in getting the full report out. I have been collecting photos from all the crews to put together the webpage report with photos and video. Should have it done sometime this week and will make sure to announce it as soon as it goes "Live". Thanks again to The Crew of SCA for helping us to sponsor the event for the second year in a row!! Next year...30+ boats?!?
