I've been searching for a boat as you describe for about two years. I have finally settled on the Bayraider by Swallow boats (www.swallowboats.com). It is 19'10" overall with generous beam. With the dodger you have a small cuddy-type cabin. It is water-ballasted so it is light for trailering and has shallow draft but tremendous stability when ballasted. Also, it is a classic ketch with character. There are so many cookie-cutter boats out there.
I haven't gotten the boat yet. A man in Oregon purchased one of the first ones built and gives it high marks. Mine is due for delivery in May -the builder is in England.
