We spend a lot of time "living" on our 19' boat for 2-3 weeks at a time so let's see...
22' to 23'... a mast that is easy for 1 to raise....a smaller cockpit, allowing more room in the cabin (it's only the 2 of us)...an open transom would be easier to reboard after swimming...i like the overhead arches and c/b swing keels on the Compacs...a private head that doesn't have to be pulled out of somewhere is all the wife wants...enough headroom to allow comfortable movement (pop top?)...maybe a cutter rig...round opening ports of bronze so they don't break...an on deck anchor locker...a bow pulpit for an anchor roller...and i like the older trunk cabin styles.
Too much to ask for?
How about a boat with the interior bare for the owner to finish themselves? I'd also like to see all the deck hardware to be installed by the owner to lower cost on a new boat. A sort of kit that you would finish yourself.
