Hi,
I have helped a friend launch and retrieve his Oday 222 a few times (about 18" draft) A good ramp is a necessity. The higher the boat on the trailer, the farther you will have to back up in the ramp. Your vehicle may be too much in the water then or worse your boat will float but the wheels of the trailer will fall off the ramp end. You would be able to bring the trailer back empty but not with the boat on it! This is the worst scenario.
It would be a good thing to make sure a ramp is deep and long enough before trying to launch. Many are more suited to motor boats and kayaks.
