I hope you have found a good little boat for your camping/crusing needs. I picked up an old Hunter 20 from 1983 the other month and am looking to do similar types of boating. I have two boys ages 11 and 14 and the cabin in the Hunter 20 seems just big enough to accomodate the three of us well. With a hull speed of 5.2 knots she is no racer but a 5hp tohatsu seems likely to get us going when we need to avoid weather and yet uses little gas. We are in SW Florida and like to explore islands, river mouths and creeks and she is only supposed to draw around 15 inches of water. With alot of gear on board like water and food and such we may draw an extra inch of water I figure but should still be able to get into some tight places that other boats would need to break out the dinghy and motor to explore.Good luck and happy sailing!
