Jason, you should ask how many glass balls are on the bottom of the ocean. Glass balls dont have to support life, they dont need to carry provisons and they dont need to be navigated. I dont know what you consider small but I have sailed up to 200 miles off shore in everything from my old M-15 to My old Westerly 22 and many boats inbetween. I had a very deep love affair with my M-15 It was affordable fun and I always felt safe and in controll from San Diego to Lake Tahoe and everywhere inbetween. I am currently selling my Allegra 24 which could easily sail anywhere and moving back down to a M-17 which I intend to sail from every port in America while I design the perfect 22 footer. After 20 years on large and small boats 22 seems to be the magic size for me my wife and my two dogs.
