Hi Ray..
All the hardware is stock stainless that is already custom made for the M_boats.
The only 'beef up' was the owner wanted one extra gudgeon in the
middle of the telescoping rudder. We mounted it upside down, nested to the normal gudgeon and I TIG welded it. All the other hardware is stock. (see photo)
This is the first Windvane we have installed on a M_17 and I am
quite pleased with the quality. Of course it is thru bolted with stainless hardware, backing pads, large stainless washers and stainless Aircraft locknuts.
We are going to set up the rig next week. Downwind poles..etc.
I'll post some more photos if your interested. Oh.another upsize was the Genny track. We went to 1.25 inch and 5/16 stainless bolts to give us a platform for the custom Oarlocks
that will slide forward and aft. (our normal T track is one inch)
