Maybe I am using the wrong terminology or maybe I am just confused. I was thinking I would use the boom as a support and then run the sides out over the lifelines attaching the ends of the cover to the bottom lifeline. I am not sure I would need any structure in this case. Worse case I could use PVC to give a liitle structure at the outside edges (running parallel with the toe rails essentially) supporting the pvc with a line run fore and aft. Is there something I am missing here?
