I am wanting to make a boom tent for my 24' Kittiwake and would like to hear suggestions on a reasonable priced material to use. I want to use it when at the slip for extended periods for protection from the environment. I might also put it to use on camp cruising trips. I will want something relativly durable that would last at least a few seasons. I am not interested in buying any kind of tarp but want a material that will be waterproof in all but a toad strangling flood. Would also be interested in any ideas on how best to build and attach one. Any ideas?
