Just read about this, and I am totally speechless...

I had the pleasure of seeing The Ventures when they came to Pittsburgh earlier in the decade. The group at that point consisted of original memebers Bob Bogle & Don Wilson on guitars, bassist Gerry McGee (who had replaced original bassist Nokie Edwards in 1968), and drummer Leon Taylor, son of the late Mel Taylor. It was a spectacular performance, undoubtedly. Of course, they did all their hits and, suprisingly, even threw in a few vocal songs also. After the show, they came back out to sign autographs. They signed two of my album covers: "Walk Don't Run Volume 2" and "The Horse".
Godspeed to a fine guitarist who's now jamming in Rock & Roll Heaven. Bob Bogle, you will never be forgotten.
DYNAMIC D!
