These days it's either Nabisco or Keebler, or whatever generic brand the supermarkets carry, but one brand I really miss is Burry's.
They were very popular in the mid-to-late '60s. Among their best known products were Fudgetown (they had elves like Keebler, I wonder if that's where they are all working now?) Mr. Chips chocolate chips, Scooter Pies and my personal favorite, Gaucho's (with plenty peanut stuff in the middle).
I found a page on Flickr which highlights many other items offered by Burry's. They also had Cap'n Crunch cookies, Howdy Doody Cookies and Hopalong Cassidy cookies. Plus games, cutouts, bike badges, hand puppets, comic books featuring Mr. Chips, ice cream sandwiches, mail-in offers for the Aurora Batmobile scale model--a lot of things I never knew about. They also took part in the annual Girl Scout cookie sales.
Anybody else remember these?
