Lookin' good Roy. I remember the grand old theaters that we had in Niagara Falls when I was growing up. We had the Strand and the Cataract theaters on Falls street about a block or two away from the park where the falls are and the Rapids theater on Main street. They were great theaters with many murals and high ceilings and thick velvet curtains. They had balconies and lots of character not square boxes like the theaters of today.
I remember seeing my favorite James Bond movie, "Thunderball" at the Cataract theater.
My dad took me to the Rapids theater for my 10th or 11th birthday, we saw a movie that was about a knight that had to cross the land to rescue the princess and had many perils along the way like a big cyclops and getting stuck in quicksand. He had a magic horse, a magic sword and a magic cape. He used the sword to pull himself out of the quicksand and the horse rode around the cyclops until it was dizzy and fell to it's knees which allowed the knight to slay him with the sword. I wish I could remember the name of that movie. Does it sound familiar to anyone?
