There are so many rock birthdays to keep straight, which is why I don't do this often. But I was reminded in today's paper that Graham Nash turns 67 today.
Nash is a personal favorite of mine for his major part in redefining contemporary '60s music, first with the Hollies (that's his high harmonies on their early records), and even more significantly for his work with David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Neil Young. Mr. Nash has also sang backup for scores of other artists like James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Joni Mitchell.
Not to be overlooked are his many great songs, which include Teach Your Children, Marrakesh Express, Just A Song Before I Go, Chicago and Shadowlands. Here's wishing you the best of birthdays, with more to come!!
