Jon Hager, the surviving half of the popular Hager Twins duo of "Hee-Haw" fame, died January 9 at age 67, only seven months after the death of his brother Jim.
Reportedly, Jon had been in poor health and had been depressed since the loss of Jim last May.
The brothers had been with "Hee-Haw" from its first show in 1969 to 1988, contributing a song and schmoozing with the gorgeous girls of Kornfield County. They paralleled this with a recording career, releasing several records on Capitol.
Both brothers are gone now, reunited in Hee-Haw Heaven with Buck Owens, Grandpa Jones, Minnie Pearl, Junior Samples, Stringbean and others. However, generations after us will thank them for the many contributions they gave to country entertainment with their many talents.
