Country star Jim Hager of the popular Hager Twins duo, died last Thursday (May 1) after collapsing in a coffee shop in Nashville. He was 66.
Jim, along with twin brother Jon, gained national stardom as original cast members of "Hee Haw", starting in 1969. Along with the cornball jokes and schmoozing with the lovely girls of Cornfield County, they contributed a song on each week's show with Jim on guitar and Jon on tambourine and other percussion. They left the show in 1988 and continued to perform all over the country.
