It was fun, too. Like Part 1, not fantastic but just as fun: Part 2. Not the most spectacular antagonist but Robyn Hood brought out feelgood moments which is quite admirable considering she was a just off the assembly line. Her freindship bonding with Spidey reallly allowed Peter's freindly personality to shine. Carol had some fine character (re)establishing dynamics with her people skills, as the NEW Captain Marvel in town, for this crisis. There was a decent amount of story seeds involving Ms.Godwin and her Trojan A.I. and/or Mr.Larrikin and his Blackbird Security.
Growing with infusion of energy is old hat for the MU but possibly warranted details when her bandages grew too. Probably made of the same material as Hulk's pants. It is doubtful Robyn Hood was entirely made of Unstable Molecules™ so some exposition on composition would have been welcome from more seasoned readers. And what was the deal with having mutant DNA samples - does everyone have their claws in one of the 198? Somebody notify Storm and her Buttinsky Team! And why wouldn't Robyn's mass have crashed thru that bridge? Just curious now - which is caaan be a good thing storywise.
*Carol motivating Blackbird Security.
*Carol coming up with a creative solution. [However, on the other hand it was a HORRIBLE solution to let the giant robot fall recklessly on a populated Boston area that she knew need clearing out! Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. She could have pushed it into the water, no?]
*Intro of 2 engaging characters in Godwin and Larrikin.
*Spidey actually paying attention and Peter doing the math.
*Agent Adams actually gets a name. [Love this kind of detail.] Then he gets a spine. [And showed integrity after Carol's crude and yet colorful threat.]
*Learning about most likely another unique form of A.I. for the MU in RG-026.
*Spidey's effort to out logic a machine in the shadow of moments like Scott to Sentinels or Kirk to Mudd.
*The effectively heartwrenching KA-PAAAAW moment.
*Fun banter with Carol in the airfield. If there was ever any legal and moral mandate to have a strictly freind with benefits these two would make a good pair - especially if Carol had anything to say about it. Top off with the curiousity killing secret that Peter told her. Seriously, it's killing this cat! In the shadow of Carol STILL not revealing the secret Cap whispered back when she rejoined the Avengers! Argh!
*The predicted yet still smiled at happy ending at FUTURE FLORA ROBOTICS lab.
*The art. http://marveldisassembled.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/preview-avenging-spider-man-10/
