I remember Superia from Gruenwald's Captain America run. If she is a scientist, she may have found a way to counter Ms. Marvel's energy absorption ability, at least temporarily. Whenever a character doesn't "perform" to reader expecation, we all hear the old saw of the character not being "respected". I am guilty of it as the next person, whenever Dazzler is not respected at being Herald level. Or even a character like the Hulk or She-Hulk is defeated by someone stepping on their fingers or someone throwing a bus at them.
