I enjoyed it. It wasn't directly great but nice.

I guess this story took place before they became best friends, and maybe it is even the beginning of their friendship (the last two pages of the second story look like that).

Maybe the other way round. The review on Line of Fire is also nice. It hits IMHO the nail quite well.
