Has anyone read these two comics yet? I went to my local comic shop this week and bought Ms. Marvel # 46, New Avengers # 56, and Mighty Avengers # 30. I also had the shop put in a special order in for me, so I can get monthly issues of Ms. Marvel. Now I know the Moonstone fans on here will say I'm stupid for doing it, but I don't care! This message board is for Ms. Marvel, NOT JUST FOR Moonstone!
Now, having said that, I want to talk about Ms. Marvel # 46. I know there are many mixed fans on here about this whole Ms. Marvel/Moonstone War, but having read this issue, I want to throw my two cents in. I know the Moonstone fans think that Karla got screwed in these issues and that all they made her look like a psycho while making Carol look like the better woman. But COME ON! It's Her issue! And as far as the whole fat cow comment from the comics and the fans goes, I think you're wrong. Carol looks beautiful(for a comic character)
Now on this issue, Carol gets her whole memories back and then beats Moonstone by taking away her... Moonstone. But she doesn't kill her, instead, makes her go to her mother's grave to get the Moonstone back. For me, that says something. And in the end, Carol does start to become the hero she's meant to be, and Karla finally deals with her past sins.
Now on New Avengers # 56. I loved how Ms. Marvel knocked Norman into the bay, it ROCKED! And later, I thought it was touching how she tried to comfort Jessica when she learned Luke Cage was captured. As for the ending(and an add from Thunderbolts # 137), looks like Norman's going to fix up Cage and then put in some kind of mind control thing inside him. I hope the others can save him if that does happen.
Now on Mighty Avengers # 30. It was one big Avenger's team-up as many of the members of old & new united. Even Ms. Marvel and some of the New Avengers joined in. In this issue, it looks like some dude named the Unspoken got his hands on an old Kree machine that pumps out a gas called Xerogen. Any human who breaths it becomes a mindless slave. So the team head to China to try to stop him, but he starts turning them with the gas.
I wonder if Ms. Marvel will be affected by the gas? She is a Human/Kree hybred after all. So far, this issue looks good and I can't wait till the next one. And that's all I have to say for now. Weather you're a Ms. Marvel fan OR Moonstone fan on here, I hope you'll reply to this message. I can't help but notice most of my messages aren't getting any replys.
I hope I didn't anger the Moonstone mob
