The reason I am so adamantly fighting you on this; is because I honestly think what you propose will damage not only the comic, but women in comics in general. If you try and single out Ms. Marvel because she’s a woman: that is not equality. If you want to send a message, because this is a female superhero’s solo comic; when the same is not done of the male solo comics: that is not equality. If you want to discuss, point out, observe in written form that Ms. Marvel is a feminist/girl power/strong female, purely because she is a woman; you are setting the precedent that the only purpose of a female superhero is to be a message or symbol or example. And THAT is dangerous. Karla is a powerful, determined, scheming, vicious, intelligent character. NONE OF WHICH has anything to do with her being a woman or not. Similarly, Wolverine is a hardened, forgiving, blunt, unstoppable loner. Again, none of that is to do with him being a man.
By saying Ms. Marvel should only be the sum of her gender, you are making gender more important than it is, you are damaging the equality that exists in the comics. By highlighting gender, you are saying gender matters; surely that is not the goals of someone seeking equality?
