I remember when I flipped my lid when Spider-Woman was replaced by the Skrull queen, and lo and behold, we have a solo Spider-Woman book coming in April.
I'l admit this is VERY weird, but at the same time, I trust Brian Reed with the story. I'll give him a chance before I start to complain like I did with Spider-Woman. And for those who've been reading, come on. Put two and two together. We've been seeing Carol's hitherto espionage background, which was a lot darker then I could ever have imagined. Carol Donovan? A deep cover background for Carol while Karla takes or usurps the Ms. Marvel identity.
I'll admit, I'm not happy about She-Hulk losing her name to the unnamed daughter of Thundra, and not every "replacement" can be as well written as Brubaker's Captain America or Gruenwald's Captain America No More storyline. But let's not all jump the gun when we've not even read the issue yet.
I'm giving this a chance for the mean time. I expect nothing less then Carol Danvers beating the tar out of Karla at some point in time. If it's good, you'll hear me compliment Brian Reed. If not, you'll hear a well reasoned criticism, not ranting and raving like I did with Spider-Woman. Let's all keep our heads above water here.
