Hey Ryan... am a fan of your Carol site from way back, and just as much as I enjoy everyones input, was interested to hear your thoughts...
I would have gone with Jerri too... but yeah, think she is a bit old now... there were a few current actresses (well, more so) that I was trying to think of... but couldn't put my finger on... but you nailed it
- Naomi Watts and Charlize Theron... either of these two are exactly what I had in mind... both have been nominated for academy awards, Charlieze even won... cant remember if Naomi did... but they have the acting-cred that I know I feel Carol deserves
X-men hit the jackpot by casting Hugh Jackman as Wolvie... but he has always been a good actor here in Australia... no it was no real surprise to us down-under-ers... but yeah, Naomi and charlieze are the types, they have experience with meaty roles, and can prtray a certain amount of depth, which is what I feel Carol needs to do her justice
so yeah, lotsa good suggestions... but i like these two in particular
