I've always wondered why a then obscure character like Carol Danvers was chosen to headline the Ms Marvel book back when but lately I've also started to wonder something else. Why was the character then written out so completely and firmly in that infamous Avengers story? Yes, the story was reprehensible and tacky but what was going through the creative team and editorial's heads at the time? Does anyone know or could point me towards interviews with Conway and Michelinie?
