You are right, those are the standard ingredients for a decent superhero movie, a perfect mix of pathos and angst, along with the dose of superheroics and sci fi. But Ms. Marvel is not a "name" character to carry a solo film. Wonder Woman has been around since the 40's and most people's exposure is the SUPERFRIENDS cartoon and the Lynda Carter live action TV series. And while DC says that she IS the trinity of their top heroes(Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman), Warner Brothers cannot get their heads together in making a film.
Best one can hope for...a major role in perhaps the Avengers movie or an animated feature.
