I have to admit Ms.Marvel is very tough and a good competitor against her foes or whoever she faces in the story. I was surprise. Ms.Marvel survived the energy she absorbed from Modok. If I am not mistaken,Ms.Marvel is experiencing power flux again. She turned blue like a kree or maybe Cru has effected Ms.Marvel while they were fighting in space. Ms.Marvel has the power to heal herself and changing blue with glowing red eyes. Wow. Very interesting. I like Aaron's penciling too. I am glad he is sketcing Ms.Marvel comic book. --Previous Message-- : This issue finally brings a close to the first : days of her Operation: Lightning Storm. With : new penciler, Aaron Lopresti, writer Brian : Reed has shown us her new focus in 2007. : : The storytelling is excellent. Lopresti is : one those artists who can layout more than : 2-4 measly panels per page. Brian Reed can : enjoy more words and more sequence in a : $2.99 comic. So what we get a fast and : complex series of moments. It's not just : Carol who gets attention but supporting : characters who I do give a damn about, no : matter how small they are. : : If anybody wondered if Carol would become : less impulsive forget it. Her save of : Manhattan was brave to the point of : foolhardy. There was no way she could : survive the G-TAC Scrambler. But she boldy : risked her life anyway. As a result we get a : closer glimpse of the mysterious voices that : saved her life while fighting the Doomsday : Man. Does this go straight back to the Cru : alien? Or did something happen afterwards as : a result? Reed continues to tease us but : doesn't make us impatient. Carol's concerned : now, but she's not backing down now. It : would be a short comeback if she did. : : So the day is saved. But like a good Marvel : story it doesn't end in roses. This issue : becomes a long epilogue. Yes, Carol saved : the day but her initial target, A.I.M, are : now more dangerous than ever. I look forward : to seeing more of them, in whatever form : Marvel sees fit. This new villain reminds me : of that freak from Batman Beyond. But that's : okay. It's superficial. What they did to : Madigan was very creepy in their own way. : These guys could blow up the world one day. : : Does this story bring more confidence in the : Ms. Marvel title? O.K. It wasn't a huge : event. A.I.M. is still no worse than HYDRA : or the Maggia. But we are reminded that such : threats are very dangerous, and Carol has : focused herself to fighting them. Ms. Marvel : doesn't need to prove herself by fighting : only Class A villains. That's what the : Mighty Avengers are for. Having Operation : Lightning Storm is great concept. In the : Mighty Avengers she fights alongside heroes : who can handle themselves in bad situations. : But that doesn't make her a great leader. : With her own team she can stay more : grounded. Yeah, her first team is in : shambles. But those are the risks. Carol : lacks what Capt. America had - the charisma : to lead more normal people to ensure their : safety. Long ago, she lost her post as : NASA's security chief. She left Homeland : Security. Despite her win against M.O.D.O.K. : she now must learn greater responsibility : for her teammates. But she can do it. :
