Not that covers reflect what goes on inside the comics nowadays, but I was honestly expecting that the two "leading ladies" for the teams would become the voices of each team regarding the book's motif of anger.
Especially considering that BOTH covers for the issue featured Spider-Woman prominently, I was very disappointed to see that Jessica basically did nothing.
Carol had a good showing though, but Drew was window dressing.
: Here I thought it was going to be a team up
: with Ms. Marvel and Spider-Woman side by
: side, but it turned out to be something
: completely different. While the NEW
: AVENGERS try to play a poker game with Ben
: Grimm to assauge their grief, the MIGHTY
: AVENGERS head to the coast to take on an old
: Avengers AND Ms. Marvel foe, Tiger Shark.
: The issue goes back and forth between the
: bickering at Strange's Sanctum and between
: the Mighty Avengers turning Namor's friends
: into extras for Red Lobster.
:
: Ms. Marvel gets in quite a few good licks,
: pounding Tiger Shark into sushi himself when
: Namor shows up and scolds the Mighty
: Avengers PETA style not to take their anger
: out on defenseless seafood dishes.
: Personally, I felt Ms. Marvel should have
: gone toe to toe with Namor, but hey, can't
: win them all, I guess.
:
: This wasn't a bad issue, like others have
: claimed, but I could understand why some
: would be underwhelmed. It was a good
: showing for Ms. Marvel beating the crap out
: of a heavyweight like Tiger Shark, who needs
: to be beat down more often. I really did
: like the artwork and the focus on Ms.
: Marvel.
