Could it be Mystique in disguise... or maybe a different foe who wants to get to Ms. Marvel for some reason. I'm thinking it might be a Skrull and somehow tied to Carol's Kree origins, just to throw us all off! If it is Mystique...that could wreak some major emotional damage on Carol! It reminds me of an old storyline in ELEMENTALS where a female metamorph called Shapeshifter infiltrated the team and seduced Morningstar, one of the female members, for revenge. As for Arana, she's growing on me! But I'd have rather seen Silverclaw or Ultra Girl in the role of teen trainee given their deeper ties to Carol's past and thus, broader story potential (Silverclaw as a former Avenger and Ultra Girl as a Kree progeny). I also really enjoyed MS. MARVEL #11! De La Torre's artwork seems to have improved... but he's still not my cup of tea. The sequence with Kerwin Korman and Doomsday Man was quite good... but when it comes to Carol and Ms. Marvel the lack of panel-to-panel consistency in the hair, eyes, face, etc. is just a bit too jarring for me. Some panels look really good and display his potential while others seem ahlf-done and flat and not like the person we saw earlier on the page. I'll be glad when Aaron Lopresti is onboard.
