Learning that Carol was possibly only pretending to have forgiven Rogue for what happened between them was a surprise to me for sure, and I also liked the back story Warbird, the alternate reality Carol Danvers, was given. I suspect we’ll be seeing Warbird again at some point, hopefully in a brand new costume befitting Ms. Marvel’s newest rogues gallery member! I must also say that I like Mike Wieringo’s artwork much better this time around, too, although I did miss de la Torre’s artwork. MS. MARVEL#11: This issue was definitely the best issue yet of Brian Reed’s run! It almost read like a 70’s Ms. Marvel comic! The story was fabulous, and Roberto de la Torre’s artwork never looked better. Very excellent! It was absolutely fantastic to see old Ms. Marvel villain the Doomsday Man once again after all of these years, and I think Brian Reed wrote him extremely well, taking into account what happened to him in AVENGERS Vol.3#16-17 -- where Kerwin Korman, alias the Destructor (another old Ms. Marvel baddie), was revealed to have been intertwined with the robotic Doomsday Man. Seeing him bust free and attack AIM was very exciting, and I was walking on pins and needles waiting for Carol to confront him. And those zombie guys at the end are also very interesting, and I’m glad that they, along with AIM, were added to the mix. I can’t say that I like Arana at all, and I think she’s in the wrong title (and in the way), but at least she wasn’t too annoying in this issue, like she was back in MS. MARVEL#6-8. Maybe I’m being paranoid here, but I’m going on record right now by saying that I think that Carol’s new love interest, William Wagner, is actually Mystique in disguise. I’m sure of it. It seemed like way too much of a coincidence to me that Carol and William just so happened to “meet randomly”. Not only that, I’m suspicious of his “nice, normal “guy” act. Coupled with the fact that William’s last name happens to be Wagner, as in Kurt Wagner, alias Nightcrawler of the X-Men and the son of Raven Darkhölme, and also couple with the fact that last issue’s letter’s page mentioned something about dealing with Mystique “sooner rather than later”, I truly believe that William Wagner is a shapeshifting Mystique in disguise! I think it may even be possible that Mystique was posing as Sarah Day, too, having bumped off the original deal in-between #1 and #2. I mean, we haven’t seen Sarah Day since #4, and now all of a sudden we have this William Wagner guy around. Hmmm. Even if Mystique didn’t pose as Sarah, I still think she’s posing as William as a way to get close to Carol so she can take her out (or complete whatever her plans are for Ms. Marvel) without giving her any advanced forewarning. And since Mystique is bisexual, posing as Carol’s boyfriend wouldn’t be any stretch at all. We will see if I’m right about this, and I think I am. Anyway, kudos to Brian and Roberto for giving us yet another excellent issue of my currently favorite comic book read! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Hey, folks. I haven't been around in a while. Still battling my health problems, so I can only check in every so often. But here are my thoughts about the last two issues!
