Has anyone else ever heard of this in an Aussie? A few weeks ago, I noticed a white spot on the cornea in each of Iris' eyes. Her eyes have also been really watery/runny lately, but I thought that was just allergies. We'd moved into an apartment and I think whatever they cleaned the carpet with was bothering her.
Eye drops have helped with how runny her eyes are, and my vet agrees that it's probably an allergy. The vets thinks the spots are corneal dystrophy. They're not cornea ulcers, they look like fat or cholesterol deposits. All of her bloodwork came back normal including her thyroid levels. As far as I can tell, it hasn't really affected her vision and doesn't seem to bother her at all.
I tried looking up more information about corneal dystrophy, but I couldn't find much about it in Aussies.
