With this group (not ARPH) the fees are set at 250 for puppies up to 1 year, 195 for young dogs up to 4. Then it goes depending, which includes special needs and older dogs. I can understand a token fee for a dog this old with known health problems but come on 150? With Triangle Sheltie I donated 150 for Rhue. She was 10 months old and had all of her vet work done plus an exam by a specialist for her hearing and vision. She's healthy as a horse but we knew that she was 99% deaf and has vision problems that would worsen with time.
With this older dog we know he has serious problems and with age things are going to go down from here. If it were up to me I'd just hand the old boy over to the adopter since he's willing to take on all of it. Come on, put in a disclaimer that the rescue can follow his care...
Back to my crate!
