And closer to the coast, but we have been getting pounded too. On the way home from flyball practice, my teammate's car was almost hit by another car that slid into a 360 on the freeway. And the drive home gave me a pretty bad migraine... My car did not make it the last two blocks up the hill to my house and I backslid it into a "parking" spot against the curb and hiked home with the three girls.
It did totally melt overnight, thank heaven.
This has apparently been our snowiest winter around here in about 40 years. It's certainly by far the most drastic since I moved here -- this is my 4th Portland winter.
I like the way the snow LOOKS. Everything else about it sucks! We don't have the infrastructure for this, and I live on a quiet street that gets too little traffic to wear away the snow/ice/slush enough for my car. And it's hell on housetraining the Pixel, too.
But it's beautiful (or so I keep telling myself).
