A discussion on the bully board that I'm on was very interesting to me...someone was asking why clicker trainers always seem to have herding breeds. I of course brought up all of the numerous trainers off the top of my head that don't have herding breeds (Emma Parsons, Melissa Alexander, Sue Ailsby, etc). I also mentioned that there might be ideas floating around still that bully breed owners (and other "hard-to-train" breed owners) have the idea that their dog is "stubborn, willfull, hard-headed" and needs corrections.
By the end of the discussion so far, the OP mentioned that her bullies were hard to clicker train, and that while she likes to use the clicker to mark, she doesn't find it good for general behavior...because she has bully breeds. (isn't that what I said?)
Anyone have any good stuff on breeds and clicker training...I'm not sure what I'm looking for exactly...does this all make sense?
