How long do emus live? My old boarding stable adjoined Neil Young's ranch in San Gregorio/Woodside hills and one day, many years ago, I came out to ride and this strange guy was walking around - I asked him if I could help him and he said, "Have you seen my emu lately?"

It was the most incongruous statement and I couldn't help but burst out laughing. It turned out that he was Neil's ranch manager and the emu had escaped!

Congratulations on the job. I live in San Bruno so it will be good to have a contact in Animal Control!
