If it's not CCD and not a medical problem like allergies, then fluox might be a good answer. Licking like this can be a compulsive behavior resulting from anxiety and is used by some dogs as a way to self-medicate (it changes brain chemistry). I am just concerned to figure out why this appeared so late in life....
