Haven't posted in awhile about Larry, so thought today I would bring you up to date.
We have entered into an at home Hospice program as his condition is going down week by week.
We have a nurse that visits every week for now and have had some medical equipment brought in to make him more comfortable. He is still able to get around on his own (very slow but sure). He has lost a lot of weight and has no "cush" to keep pressure off his bones....he looks like someone that has been in a prison camp.
The failing liver is causing lots of swelling in his legs and feet and that is uncomfortable for him.
The puppers are so good, they keep an eye on him and are very gentle with him....so guess you could say he has three furry nurses as well.
For now, I am still working three days a week and he was very stern about telling me that he wasn't ready for me to stay home full time yet. Lucky that I work for my daughter, so when I do need to be home, I can still work from here.
My 89 year old Mom is not taking this very well, so am also worried about her. Geez I wish I had a brother or sister....being an only child is not fun when your trying to be three places at once.
Can't express how wonderful the kids are. They are here for both of us and Mom too. Even my SIL and DIL are great...I am soooooo lucky!!
Thanks guys for posting all your funny pics of the fur babies and keeping me laughing. I really love you all.
