Summer cuts...WHY?

Dogs have a coat for a reason! It protects them from the sun, skeeter bites, dog flies, etc. My two Aussies are approaching...yikes...near 9 yrs.! We live in FLORIDA! They get lots of brushing as does my double coated Manx cat & my other two cats also. I see NO reason to shave them whatsoever. Ticks...run your hands over your dog...you'll feel them. In my personal opinion...Aussies aren't for everyone...especially owners not willing to brush them! Just plain lazy owners.... *sigh*
