I've started working on Agility stuff with Sheila again, since I found out that CPE offers a competition class where her jump height can be only 8 inches! That doesn't bother her back at all, so if we just keep the weave and contact obstacle rep's low in practice, she's as right as rain.
And it's such a delight to work with her on new stuff again, smarty-pants that she is (especially after working with Focus-Is-Not-My-Forte-Raffy and Do-You-Really-Expect-Me-To-Think-Wyatt).
So, we were working on serpentine handling, where she has to jump an S figure over three jumps lined up end to end. I'd worked it a bit with her the other day, starting with the last jump, and backchaining to the first one. She caught on pretty quickly.
Then last night, I got out the jumps and lined them up again for the serpentine, and my little monkey-girl sees the configuration, and promptly performs the entire serpentine before I even had a chance to move! Not only that, but she did it very efficiently, not making big wide loopy jumps, but slicing neatly over them. Then she turned back to me like, "That's what you wanted, right?" I just started laughing...that's my girl!
Of course, now we have to work on her not doing obstacles until I tell her to.....
