I have been trying for several years to conceal from my dogs the existence of heated dog beds. We have a heated mattress pad for our bed (yes, in Atlanta) and the dogs love cuddling on it when one of us vacates some space for them. So, anyhow, no, I don't have any experience with them but I suspect whoever invented those had a ridgeback, greyhound, or great dane.
